Souhegan Student Petitions used for further Day of Academic review

One high school student is looking for more educational instance for her peers to get effort done and talk with teachers.

Freshman Kayla Roberts freshly in progress a petition to add one further day of academic review at Souhegan High School. The petition states:

Students are incredibly much overwhelmed with research and studying for tests and quizzes. Originally we planned to have one day in review (Wednesday) for an academic day but I believe like this isn't enough. I believe like we should modify academic review from one day to two days (Tuesday & Thursday) that way students will be capable to obtain a lot more work done and if require be, talk to teachers.

There are only a small number of supporters right now, but Roberts is sure that this is something that would help out her and other students handle their workload.

“I have talked to further kids about it, and after school activities make it durable for them to get to their homework,” she said. “I love academic review and get a lot of work done there.”

Academic review at Souhegan is an planned study lobby where students can complete assignments and talk with a teacher. Roberts wish for add the additional block of time, and space them out to manage school workload.

“It is a maintain system and it helps students attach with teachers,” said Roberts.

This is not the single petition to be found on this online petition platform. Rhiannon King of Amherst has a petition with 35 followers titled Souhegan High School: Athletes receive study hall instead of wellness phase.
Athletes should be given a study lobby during their wellness period and a wellness credit for their in season activity. The students would still be necessary to take health, so they would only obtain a study lobby two trimesters out of the three. My group and I think this is important because athletes often have late sport or practices causing them to stay up later in order to stop their homework. Everyone wants a certain amount of sleep to task and when the students stay up too late, it causes them to act upon poorly in their academic and sports. A study lobby period would be helpful because the athletes would have time to gather with teachers, move up their grades, finish research work, and allow them to complete there any missed assignments. several sports are time consuming and students don't get the time they require with teachers before their sports or practices, The study lobby time would alternate for the wellness class and athletes would accept their full wellness credit mandatory to graduate.

an extra petition by August Darula with 15 supporters calls for the high school to have twice blocks four days a week.

twice blocks allow students to have less homework, and there is extra time in classes to completely absorb all of the information. With less homework comes less pressure, and extra time to do additional activities or sports.
